A poorly ventilated toilet presents all sorts of problems to the user and the building itself. That’s why the Building Code of Australia (BCA) says that toilets need sufficient toilet ventilation systems to prevent unhealthy, unpleasant conditions.
If a room can’t be naturally ventilated (with open windows) an air ventilation fan must be installed. An airflow of at least 25L/s is a minimum requirement. However, we’ve found that that’s not always sufficient - especially in humid climates - so our product range achieves a much higher airflow rate.
Improve the flow of fresh air and get toilet ventilation right in any environment, with Ventair.
Whether you’re working in residential homes, hotels, hospitals or nursing homes, air ventilation for the toilet should be a priority. Poor ventilation impacts the user’s experience, causing bad smells and warm, moist air.
Over time, humidity leads to the growth of mould and mildew. Not only can this build-up pose health risks, but it can also deteriorate objects, paints and other surfaces in the room. This shortens the lifespan of the restroom and doesn’t make sense economically.
Musty smells and mould are signs of an unhealthy environment. An exhaust or toilet ventilation fan improves air circulation, meeting regulations while improving the experience of every person who uses the room.
